Alumni Brothers of the Sigma Chi Fraternity have achieved extraordinary feats in all walks of life.
Sigs have won the Super Bowl, the World Series, and Olympic gold medals. Sigs have won Academy Awards, Emmy Awards, Golden Globes, and SAG Awards. Sigs have won Pulitzer Prizes, Nobel Prizes, and the Medal of Honor.
Sigs have served as CEOs of Fortune 500 companies, presidents of numerous colleges and universities, and bishops in several churches. Sigs have held office as Governors, US Representatives, US Senators, and even as the President of the United States.
Sigs have flown on 11 Space Shuttle missions, and one Sig even walked on the moon in 1972 as the mission commander of Apollo 16. Sigs performed the first successful heart surgery of the modern era, the first successful open heart surgery west of the Mississippi River, and the first successful artificial heart implant surgery. One of the primary inventors of the laser and the inventor of the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) technique were both Sigs.
Since 2007, more than 200 Sigs have graduated from UT Martin. Our alumni live across the United States - from California to New Hampshire - and abroad, and they have found success in a wide range of professional endeavors.
